Orginal Post: big_lew: Me and my friend were leaving a party last nite when a guy came up and punched my friend which dropped him to the ground, his head smashing through a sixpack he was carrying. My friend zak was concussed on the ground when another guy took a swing at me which i deflected with my left arm, before i scruffed him and jobbed him in the head a few times. In a matter of seconds the rest of the guys mates were all ontop of me punching me and even a few of my so-called “friends” were joining in on the act. I still managed to knee the original guy who took a sing at me a few times in the head before the fight spilled to the ground and the eventual stomping/ kicking of my body began. Pulling my friend off the ground we both ran for it through several backyards and all the way home. Waking up this morning I am plagued with a large sense of guilt for running away as i am easily the guys match without his friends there. Is there anything u can do when u have several ppl puching/ kicking you in a gang bash situation and u need a quick escape? A black eye, split lip, broken nose and bruised chest is not something i want to experiance again in a hurry.

First, why were these gentlemen being so violent to you and your friend? I’ve known people to joyfully engage in mock-fights for little reason than the enjoyment of rough-housing, but it’s rare for a group of blokes to gang up on two men without real reason. Assuming that they had some reason, the answer to your question of avoiding a beating is to not cause bad blood between people in the first place. The best way to protect yourself is to make yourself the last person anyone would want to attack. But, I’m sure you don’t care about that sort of thing, so let me address your question below:

When on the ground, contrary to what competitive fighting might tell you, you do not want your back on the ground. In MMA and the like we learn the premise that giving up your back is a mistake. However, if you are flat on your back on the ground, you are effectively immobilized and mobility is your primary method of defense and escape in this situation. Get to your feet or never lose your footing to begin with. With your feet beneath you, keep moving. Use your arms to sweep legs and your shoulders to tackle people, create pathways and remove their ability to establish a platform from which they can attack. Stand up, keep moving, shove and kick your way through the group. Groups tend to surround, so steadily attack in onee direction so that when you create an opening, a number of the attackers will be playing catch up.
More succinctly: Keep your mobility and use it extensively.>
Disclaimer: I WAS GOING TO ANSWER THIS POST IN A SERIOUS MANNER; however, it just sounded like a situation that if I witnessed it on the street, I would probably laugh at the BEGINNING and take it serious at the END; therefore, I apologize if you are not in the mood for my cander & I would like to say that my response is not intended to offend you.

Now, just picture yourself witnessing two guys walking down the street & ALL OF A SUDDEN, WITHOUT WARNING, one of them gets KNOCKED THA FUCK OUT!!! Now ya’ll know that’s funny.

When I read this, the first thought that I had was:
[quote=big_lew Is there anything u can do when u have several ppl punching/ kicking you in a gang bash situation and u need a quick escape? [/quote
This I will answer sincerely:
I live in Texas. There is a law that allows Texas citizens to use certain measures to preserve their safety, in assualt situations. After reading the details of your injuries, under TEXAS LAW, you would have the RIGHT to use any type of weapon (minus a gun, unless you have a C.H.L) to cause your attacker(s) to cease the assualt. Be it a rock, stick, dirt in the eye, etc.
Again, I don’t know where you are from, so I can just describe what I would do in your situation. It is legal for any Texan to carry a knife, concealed, which blade is less than 5 1/2 inches.
First of all, as soon as they rushed me, my hand would have been on my knife. If they managed to knock a G. like me down, I’m slicing ankles & legs until I can get back on my feet. THEN THEY WOULD RECOGNIZE HOW HARD IT IS TO KICK & STOMP WHEN YOU GOT SEVERAL 3 INCH DEEP SLASH WOUNDS ALL OVER YOUR LEGS/FEET.

When I read this, the first thought that I had was:
DAMN, HE GOT HIS ASS WHIPPED!!
wait just a damn minute. This is the same guy who posted about a high school fight that started the whole deal with showing us what a worthless twat EU Dude was…
Lew> seems to me like you put yourself in a lot of bad situations. If your “friends” turn on you and start stomping the piss out of you, that makes me think that you are probably an asshat and don’t realize it. The best way for you to avoid being in that situation is to not go to parties where people want to knock the snot out of you. Also look around at your friends. Is that one guy your “friend” because you think it’s so funny when you shut him in a locker?>
are you sure you didn’t mean to say
“Me and my only friend were kicked out of a party last nite when a guy came up and lightly touched my friend which dropped him to the ground, his head smashing through a sixpack of soda he was carrying. My friend zak was concussed on the ground, with his ass in the air, when another guy took a swing at me which i deflected with my head and face, before i scruffed him, dropped to my knees and unzipped him ,(I had given head a few times.) In a matter of seconds the rest of the guys mates were all ontop of me penetrating me and even a few of my so-called “friends” were joining in on the act. I still managed to finger the original guy who took a swing at me a few times in the ass before the orgy spilled to the ground and the eventual pumping and manhandling of my body began. After pulling my friend off, t we both ran for it through several backyards and all the way home. Waking up this morning I am plagued with a large sense of guilt, and a sore bottom. i am easily the guys match without his friends there. Is there anything u can do when u have several ppl pumping and manhandling you in a gang bash situation and u need a quick ejaculation? A black eye, split lip, broken nose and bruised anus is something i want to experience again in a hurry.”>
buicken… you know I appreciate you more every day……………>
Buckien, i have one thing to say to you, nice! I think it might be rather a large jump, but if you have reason to believe he deserves it, then don’t let me stop you, on the other hand if you don’t then you really shouldn’t have written that, at least not without a warning saying that it is not entirely justified.>
For starters Gangsta_Nerd i am 16! Carrying a knife around with me and stabbing ppl really isnt on the top of my to-do list as it if frowned upon where I live.
And yes this whole situation came from me punching the other guy a few months back so yes samurai6string u were right. They were his friends.
Can somebody pls just answer my question. Is there anything u can do while getting kicked on the ground to escape?
Ps- buicken, I would advise u keep ur homo fantasy’s to urself from now on before ppl start doubting ur sexuality, although most of ur close family/ friends probably already know the truth.>
You could try pulling their trousers down, if their wearing them, in the hope that it will distract them! Just joking, it might do more harm than good. Seriously, i have no idea, so i’m as curious as you are to know the answer.>
If you can, try to keep as much movement as possible while you cradle your head with your hands, tuck your elbows over your ribs and roll to get one or both feet underneath you then explode up through a gap you see or might create.
Oh yeah, keep your eyes open too so you can see whats going on and always think about improving your position and not just accepting whats happening, praying you get through it. Its about regaining control.>
I would have to agree with Tease T. you do not want to be on your back because this severly limits your manuverability against multiple opponents. If you get to your stomach then you can puch yourself up while protecting yourself as much as possible.
once your up you do not want to get back down again though. In a multiple opponent situation try to keep moving as much as possible. This makes you difficult to hit and allows you to counter strikes more effectively.>

OH REALLY!!! IS GETTING YA’ ASS WHIPPED ON THE TOP OF YOUR TO DO LIST!!!
What’s your point of mentioning your age??!!
Like I said, IN MY STATE, a knife can be carried, as long as it is less than 5 1/2 inches long.
I don’t mean to insult you with this; but, IF YOU ARE TO MUCH OF A PUSSY TO CUT SOME COWARDS WHO ARE SPLITTING YOUR LIP, BREAKING YOUR NOSE, BLACKENING YOUR EYE & BRUISING YOUR CHEST, then you should have RAN in the first place, instead of TRYING to fight back!!!
Even if a poster did give you sound advice, which might I add, Zeff & TTT have already done, by your reponse to my post, you probably wouldn’t even have the BALLS to execute it.
Again, I am not trying to disrespect you; but, the whole “carrying a knife around & stabbing people isn’t really on my to do list” comment, str8 confussed me!! I never suggested that you “go around cutting people.” What I suggested was, if I was getting my ASS WHIPPED, like YOU were, I would be “on the RIGHT side of the law” by using my knife in defense.
I’ve been jumped before, & maybe it was luck, but I never suffered ANY of the injuries you CLAIMED to have suffered, nor did I get knocked down!!! Therefore, I never used a weapon in ANY of those encounters; however, if I had of went through EXACTLY what you CLAIMED to go through, then I’M CUTTIN’ MOTHER FUCKERS!!!
I’m sorry, but ANYBODY, who would RATHER get they ass whipped, than use a weapon, IN A STREET FIGHT (where you could have been seriously injured) is……
LET’S JUST AGREE TO DISAGREE >
Pull that attacker?s shoe off and bite him in the Achilles tendon. Just rip that sucker out with your teeth.
An actual fighting tip: Here?s the situation, you are jumped by three guys (A, B, and C). Realizing that you are outnumbered, you make a run for it. The odds are that A, B and C do not run as fast as each other. B catches up to you first with A and C close behind him. Important: You have now isolated one assailant. Attack B and defeat him quickly (I?m not going to tell you how, that kind of knowledge is left for you to learn the same way I did, years of study and practice). Now B is on the ground unconscious or otherwise disabled and unable to pursue. Start running again because A and C are closing in. It?s just your luck that A and C don?t care to stop and help A; they keep following you and for whatever reason A and C are also running at the same speed. Realizing that you cannot escape A and C, you set a trap. The trap works (again, you have to figure this stuff out for yourself) and C is disabled. A is still left and is not about to give up his pursuit. Now you are in a one-on-one situation. Important: just because you are going one-on-one doesn?t mean this is some duel, take this guy out under the assumption that his friends (C and B) have recovered and are on their way. Finish A quickly. With your attackers disabled you are free to escape.
Disclaimer: This only works if you know what you are doing.
Seriously, just get up and run. You?re 16 and likely do not have the skills or experience needed to fend off multiple attackers on the ground. If you are in a position where you cannot get up then odds are that you?re screwed.
Remember, self defense is not about fighting, it?s coming out of a bad situation alive.>
Only Buicken can come up with a jem like that!!!>
Well Big Lew, hate to say I told ya so, but if the whole thing happened because you decked the guy earlier, it sounds like Kharma to me.
But Zefff and TTT are right, roll to your stomach, try to get your feet under you, and explode out through a gap, or through SOMEONE. An ankle pick would be a good way to create a hole without commiting to the person you just took down.>
[quote=Gazelle You could try pulling their trousers down, if their wearing them, in the hope that it will distract them![/quote Good call Gazelle, good call!!!>
Really? I cringed after i wrote that! I was actually trying to place myself in that situation and see what i would do, initially i thought well, grab a foot pull them off balance as there kicking you, and then i wondered what would happen if you ended up grabbing there trouser legs instead.>
Oh, I thought you were talking about him dropping trough and embarrassing himself!!! All I know is that if I were about to open up a can of whup’ass on someone and they dropped trough on me, I’d probably stop and think twice about whether or not I wanted to go toe-to-toe with them. They may actually get off on it and I ain’t down with some freak thinking he’s going to try to feel my nuts in order to avoid me giving him some free dental work!!!>
Oh, I did, when i wrote it, but that was just how the idea came about. I still cringed after i submitted it though.>
