how good is Leko gonna be at MMA?

He is preparing for MMA for long time, he practice with good fighters, he deal with some technical problems in his cariere, he have will… so he could be good MMA fighter. I hope that he wont leave K-1 for long period, but after what they do to him these year I doubt that he will ever come back, he dont whant to neve anything with K-1 anymore. Anyway about that MMA fight, well he is light fighter, moust fighters are havier than he is but dont forget that he is “Blitz”.>

You realy thing thare is any chance that Randleman win in fight with Cro Cop?>

Post: Ninja Kl0wn:

Nice to see Ninja has moved up a weight class. Guess he got tired of having no chance to even try for the belt at middleweight.>

Post: The BadBoy:

I heard Wanderlie wants to fight the winner of the HW GP.>

Post: Ninja Kl0wn:

Well wouldn’t that be awkward if Ninja won?>

Post: eastmeetswestpartyflip:

This is my newscreen name im kenshinsamuraimusashi. Yes i do think randleman will win. He has one of the best takedowns in the sport, sakuraba was just lucky to beat him. Randleman will win if he listens to his corner.>

Post: eastmeetswestpartyflip:

If randleman gets his act together he will beat mirko.>

Post: eastmeetswestpartyflip:

also who is that in your avatar Ninja Kl0wn>

Post: setsu nin to:

I think that Cro Cop will realise now that politic, film and fights dont go together and that he will choose what he whant.>

Post: The BadBoy:

Did anyone see this event? Was the Ogawa vs leko Fight a work? I just saw teh dying minutes of it and well it looked like Leko was scared of Ogawa’s Striking. I mean come on , Blitz scared of Ogawas striking.>

Post: setsu nin to:

If leko dont change something in his tranings and organization soon he will be out and there wont be next chance.>

Post: EastMeetsWest:

i think when they were exchanging ogawa dazed him with a punch then got taken down and leko was scrambling to ecape and was subed.>

Post: The BadBoy:

What i don’t get is that Leko and Ogawa where trading in the centre of the ring and Leko ran back to the ropes like he was afraid to trade with Ogawa. Now for a striker of his ability compared to Ogawa, that just dont make sense.>

Post: setsu nin to:

I dont know, maybe he was injured, or maybe he had some problem. I dont get it too. Leko likes to attack. He always attack. There had to be some problem, he is realy good fighter.>

Great night for Judo.

Judokas are getting out of the closet!!

Judo’s international level is so high, BJJ practitioners should beware:

You have awakened the monster.

With BJJ, Judo have had to improve their ne-waza. In other words, BJJ has helped Judo improve and evolve. It now gets better.

Better competition and better rivalries. Nogueira is asking for a Judo v. BJJ fight, he wants to fight Ogawa. Tough one!! I believe Nogueira will win this one. Competition and rivalries makes it more interesting.

:)>

Post: The BadBoy:

I think we have our first Judo troll :P>

Post: bamboo:

I don’t think judo ne waza was ever inferior to BJJ nor has it “evolved”. Judoka that focus on ne waza do well in ne waza. BJJ just had some great promotion and savy businessmen, the craze is coming full circle.

Randleman vs cro Cop full fight

Post: dscott:

Thanks BadBoy!!!!

Not to take anything away from Randleman, he’s a great fighter, but it looked to me like CroCop just didn’t show up for the fight.>

Post: The BadBoy:

Talk about an explosive hook. DAMN!>

Post: dscott:

Call me a pussy but I always sort of feel bad when someone beats another man into submission like that. Their heads bounce up and down on the mat, their completely defenseless and still getting pounded. :(>

Post: The BadBoy:

I’ve been on the recieving end of it. It aint fun :(>

During a MMA fight? Or in real life?>

Post: The BadBoy:

Life and Training. Not fought MMA yet, still a few issues left to solve as far as my ethical beliefs, religion and me beating the crap out of someone in a cage and enjoying it goes.>

Post: dscott:

Tell me more about the times you were knocked out. Share your life experiences.>

Post: The BadBoy:

I wouldn’t say knocked out. More like getting beat on big time. I got a head like Cabbage Corriera, your gonna have to hit me with a sledge hammer to knock me out.

I used to get into loads of fights as a teenager. Most of them with grown men so i’ve had a few tough fights in my day and quite a few GnPs

One time I remember well, I think I was 18 at the time. I got into a fight at the club where i worked and beat the snot out of some poor soul who had decided to make some rascist comments. A few weeks later I was jumped by the guy and his mates. I ended up on the floor with him sitting on me punching the crap outta my face while his mates stuck the shoe in and stomped away to their hearts content.

I came out pretty unscathed, some blood and bruises here and there but nothing I couldn’t walk away from.

Lets just say it was a good night for them but payback was a bitch

Anyways, those days are long behind me. and all the GnP I do now is in training. the worst was when we were sparring and I suggested we start with me in my training partenrs mount (first time ever). Well he pounded the crap out of me that day. So we do it every chance I get now.

I’m used to getting GnP’d now and I’m about as calm as you can get. i can get out of it pretty well now, so i don’t think it will be a problem again as far as a one on one scenario goes.

I think that was my main problem that fateful night. I never knew what i was doing. Standing i was great, my boxing was real good. But as soon as I got tackled I was like what the fuck to I do now and bisically put my hands over my head and just stopped the stomps. I made no attempt to get up whatsoever.

Atleast now I know how to control someone and ways to get up withough getting hurt too much. You just gotta train under pressure to be able to use it under pressure.>

Post: The BadBoy:

Fedor armbars Coleman

>

Post: dscott:

It’s amazing how quick a fight can be turned around. According to this little snip-it of the fight, it looked like Coleman had him.>

Post: MA dude:

Wow the forum has a new judo troll. Anyways if judo is the greates, then how come when I visited japan, black belts in judo would compete at white belt in bjj competetions.>

Post: Kyorgi:

I dont know much about either…but is it possible that it takes a much shorter time to gain rank in judo than in bjj, and if i’m right don’t you think it would be a better match if the 2 fighters had been training for the same length of time?>

Post: ocharriez:

You might want to check out where BJJ comes from before talking about the inferiority of judoka. I have seen black belts in judo beat black belts in BJJ, its the man not the art. As well, judo is not BJJ, why would a judo black belt compete in another art at the blackbelt level? I would’n’t expect a BJJ guy to enter a judo match where throwing is the emphasis and compete at the highest level.

-bamboo>

Post: MA dude:

Of course its the person. But I just wanted to test the judo troll. I personally never seen a bb in judo beat a bb in bjj but it probaly has happened sometime.>

Post: ocharriez:

Ma dude, It is the man not the art, but I have seen a lot of judo guys beat BJJ black belts:
Don Frye(unknown judoka) defeated Bitetti (World Champion BJJ)
Akira Shoji (unknown judoka 4th dan) defeated Wallid Ismael (BJJ champion)
Nakamura (unknown judoka from Yoshida Dojo) defeated R Gracie (Bjj Champion)
Fedor Emilianenko(unknown judoka) defeated Nogueira (BJJ Champion)

the list goes on buddy, :)

Still, it is the grappler not the art. 8)>

Post: setsu nin to:

Maybe there is still chance for CroCop to get in GP. He will probably cone in if some fighter cand continue becouse of injury.>

Post: The BadBoy:

Hey Judo troll, those were MMA matches, they weren’t Judo or BJJ, so what about Wanderlie(brown belt at the time) kicking Yoshida’s (Olympic gold medalist) ass. Shall i go on.>

Post: ocharriez:

Wanderlei Silva is not even a legitimate BJJ Black Belt. Now Carlos Gracie is using him for false promo fo the art. He is a great stricker and fighter.

I know that Judo players enter BJJ tournaments and some of them win. I have never seen BJJ practitioners enter Judo tournaments, still if they enter they have no chance. That is an interestion equation.

Anyway, it is not Judo or BJJ ist’s the individual, as i have seen great BJJ fighters doing good in MMA events.

And remember, this is a MMA thread, that is why I am talking about MMA fights.

Sayonara!!>
